Past Perceptions Book

Past Perceptions discusses the prehistoric archaeology of south-west Ireland from the earliest human settlement c.7000 BC. to the beginnings of the Iron Age c.700 BC. The book is series of eighteen essays, covering a wide range of material including the problems of identifying early settlements, copper mining, habitation and everyday life. Ritual sites of the south-west form a major part of the collection as evidenced by megalithic tombs, rock carvings, stone circles and alignments and finally the cults and spectacular crafts of the later Bronze Age. Contributors include Richard Bradley, Peter Woodman, George Eoghan, Ann O'Sullivan and John Sheehan.
