It's important to regard this book as a history book not a technical manual. It give a thorough production history and supplements that with a plethora of beautiful photos. I was especially impressed with the descriptions of instructions from Ford to their authorized branches and dealerships with regard to universal company policy. Even though the dealerships were independent business operators, their "privilege" to sell Ford products and services were closely monitored and restricted. I was also somewhat surprised to find the many body styles including custom truck bodies that were available to purchasers direct from Ford. The Model A was a very important part of American history in that, while the Model T put America on wheels, the Model A made widespread national travel a possibility for ordinary people at an affordable price. Unfortunately this was somewhat restricted do to the depression and this curtailed sales and production particularly in 1931. It is thought that up to 500,000 of these vehicles are still existent and that many are driven regularly even some as "daily drivers". They make excellent hobby cars with most regular maintenance readily performed by owners.
