This is a fine collection of personal stories about living in Maine, written by some notable authors who live here either part-time or year-round. The pieces are all good and some are stellar.
Monica Wood's story about her hometown grew into her wonderful When We Were the Kennedys. I heard she had to be talked into writing this story by editor Wesley McNair. She told him that she didn't write nonfiction.
