Eight young photographers comment on Los Angeles landmarks in a series of highly personal pictures. Participants in a six-month project aimed at introducing young people to photography, the youths, who range in age from ten to eighteen, come from diverse ethnic and geographic backgrounds within the central Los Angeles area. Working independently, they selected and photographed social and architectural landmarks in their own communities they felt were significant. In addition, as a group they visited traditional Los Angeles landmarks, bringing their unique points of view to those sites.
