Connie Hagar: The Life History of a Texas Birdwatcher Book

This book was very situation specific for me. The first time I picked it up, I struggled through the first chapter- but on the second try I zoomed through it in a few days. For those not from the South Texas area, it may quickly become a list of unfamiliar people and places- but it was a lovely way to caption our region and some early bird history.

It was fun to see some unexpected names, including the great-grandfather of one of the kids in our recent programs. If you have an appreciation for how amateurs affect science, or the Rockport area then I think you'll enjoy this read.
