Philosophy & Atheism Book

From what I see, Nielsen critiques Religion through a very wittgensteinian position.

He keeps coming back to "God-talk" of how any talk or religious truth-claim is unsupported via the Verification principle, that any idea without a sense impression is meaningless. He reduces Christianity to just another form of life where certain language games and family resemblances apply, and that Christians do not have a stronger truth-claim over anyone else.

I do like Ludwig Wittgenstein, AJ Ayer, and Bertrand Russell, although I believe there are still problems in Logical positivism that need to be worked out.

This book is an enjoyable read for the philosophically-literate, however, you have to know a lot about Christianity and Wittgenstein in order to get where he is trying to go in his criticism.

But since I am a philosophy major, I believe this book was thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish.
