Mentally a life-saver

Absolutely deserves a five star rating. Dr. Satow has written an engaging book on how to address emotional issues concerning the prospect of having to take care of parents who were, shall one say, less than stellar. For those who had neglectful and often abusive parents, there seems to be a person and story that represents most emotional scenarios. Dr. Satow's approach makes it clear that the caregiver must not forget their own needs nor the needs of their family. Dr. Satow developed a unique set of questions one should ask before engaging in a care giving commitment. Dr. Satow does not say what should or should not be done, rather she gives gentle guidance. This book is not a "How To" guide, rather it is a unique assessment tool for those determining their future in terms of parental care giving for maybe some not so deserving parents.
