Taken together, these in depth studies diagnosed many of the problems in our society that are only now being addressed by the mainstream press, which, for the most part, was asleep at the switch during the age of,"Downsizing." Indeed, the selective coverage of the established press is itself one of the premiere scandals of our time and one of the premiere evidences of an increasing elite control over the thoughts and styles of American life.
