I read several books to help me prepare for my honeymoon (and for the beginning of marriage in general), and this was by FAR the most helpful.
If I had read nothing else, this would have equipped me sufficiently, I think, and I was very impressed by how holistic it is in its advice! When one thinks "honeymoon" one usually thinks "sex" and maybe "trip planning," but the authors cover the honeymoon in every aspect--emotional, spiritual, logistical, physical, relational, sexual, medical, etc. I felt so much less nervous and more confident after reading this book.
Also, I loved the perspective put forth that your honeymoon isn't just an isolated, blissful period of time before you start 'real life,' but rather is the beginning and foundation for a long life together afterward. Larimore helps couples build good habits and understanding in the honeymoon that will be a blessing to them throughout their marriage.
The chapters "For the Bride's Eyes Only" and "For the Groom's Eyes Only" were particularly packed with answers to FAQs about the First Night and were invaluable for both my husband and me (and even inspired him to put thought into preparing that night's room with candles and other loving details).
In short, this is a fabulous book that I recommend to anyone with an upcoming honeymoon!
