Interesting stories of life at the Wide Ruins Trading Post in the late 30's/early 40's, but written in a disjointed way and with an "Ugly American" view of the Navajo with whom she worked. Not too pretty a picture of how Native Americans were treated only 50 years ago - paternalism beyond compare.
