Analytical Lexicon of Navajo Book

The 'Analytical Lexicon' is designed to reflect, in detail, the morphological features of the Navajo language - an objective that includes the identification and description of a corpus of about 1130 roots that, variously combined and manipulated, underlie its extensive vocabulary. Although modest in number this root system served quite adequately to meet traditional communication needs; it has demonstrated its capability to meet current needs; and it is quite capable of generating the terminology required to maintain the viability of Navajo as a living modern language.
