Nobiah's well Book

A modern African Folktale about a boy named Nobiah who has to travel far to get a jar of water for his mother, sister, himself and their garden. The jar is heavy and Nobiah encounters three different animals who need a drink. Kind of heart Nobiah gives water to them, but comes home without enough water for the garden. While he sleeps, Nobiah dreams that the animals come back to him for more water, and he tells them he has no more water. Each in turn ask him to dig a well for them. When Nobiah wakes there is a new well outside of his hut so that the village women no longer have to walk such a long distance for their water.
