Whales
Easily understood book on whales where I learned that some whales have on blowhole and some have two. While I knew that baleen whales filter their food from the ocean and toothed whales use their teeth for catching their food and then they swallow the food whole. AlsoI was not aware that the theory is that whales originated on land and migrated into the water. The illustrations in this title were good grey and white for the whales shown on blue green backgrounds of water, also these illustrations were much less cluttered than most of Gail Gibbions books.
