Silent Music: The Science of Meditation Book

This little gem offers a fascinating look into the state of affairs in 1974 through the eyes of an Irish Jesuit as he works to make sense of interreligious dialogue, emerging sciences, and burgeoning cultural revolutions (particularly how they inform and dovetail with meditation). At times profound and self-reflective, while at others such a product of its era and social location as to approach backwardness, there exists a humble sense of the appropriateness of change and evolution and openness throughout. I'm glad to have read it and marvel at the ground we've collectively covered (or maybe sprawled across 😄) over the last 47 years.
