Western Apache Material Culture: The Goodwin and Guenther Collections
These authors look at key spots along the Lewis and Clark Trail from an airplane flying over head. There were many places that they missed but there were enough to appreciate what a difficult journey L &C had in crossing America in 1805-1807. Along with the pictures were brief descriptions of the places taken from the journals of the explorers with commentary by Mussulman. It would be a companion volume to any study of the journals of Lewis and Clark. I wish I would have had it when I read Stephen Ambrose's book Undaunted Courage.
