Vital Signs
When I bought this a few weeks before the primaries in 2004, I wasn't really thinking about how quickly it'd become outdated. Tant pis! Anyway, I'm not entirely sure I agree with the premise anymore while we all want people with a couple of bucks in their pocket to be able to run for office with a plausible chance of winning (here's looking at you, Ulysses S. Grant...) I don't think it's fair to claim that anyone who accepts money from a corporation has been "bought" by them. What is it that makes people bribers when they band together to limit liability and make or do something together, but when they're alone their money counts as speech? This sort of inflamatory rhetoric doesn't do much for me.
