When Love Is Not Enough: A Theo-Ethic of Justice Book

This is a valuable introduction to Catholic theology, which covers all the fundamentals: Scripture, faith, Jesus Christ, Trinity, Church, sacraments, moral living, etc. Be warned, however: Higgins' intent here is not to present a strictly "orthodox" view of Catholic Christianity but rather to introduce readers to the wide spectrum of theological thought, from "traditional" to "progressive", on each theological topic. It is a helpful resource for understanding the different theological viewpoints but readers should know that not all of the views presented on a given subject are equally valid or compatible with orthodox belief. Best read by someone who already knows official Catholic teaching well and is interested in learning more about the "theological spectrum" so as to be able to counter erroneous ways of thinking.
