Trees and Shrubs of Kentucky, Vol. 4 Book

Like other books in this series and by this author, the value of this book is that it covers a small region and makes plant identification much easier than the more common identification guides that cover the US or North America. This book because it covers native trees and shrubs will be less useful for city and garden identification. The photographs in this book, both color and black and white, are excellent. The first two sections cover flowers and fruit and include colored photos for easy identification. The back three quarters of the book covers trees and shrubs by family and includes excellent black and white photos of the bark, profile, leaves, buds and fruit are included. Short paragraphs give common and technical names and size information.
