Runoff elections in the United States Book

Found the first half most compelling, especially in its perspective on revolutions in China and Vietnam, the specifics of which my education has majorly lacked. The second half a bit more frustrating—repetitive, some weird ideas about work and welfare, weird idealization of the Puritans. But 1974 was a different time & it's interesting to read this pre-industrialization moment captured. Not sure I am convinced by all the leftist revolution of humanity/revolution of values over other types of revolutions rhetoric—and still wonder if that really works as an organizing tactic as opposed to appealing to self interest—but a worthwhile read, lots to think about, very grateful for the Boggs and their legacy
