Waugh in Abyssinia
Waugh's claim that gas was only sparingly used against Ethiopians by the Italians is incorrect. His praise of Graziani as a 'sensible man' made my guts churn. His background and status as a citizen of the Empire clearly informed his views and his patronising attitude to what he calls the natives (and everyone else for that matter). I did not care much for the journalistic squabbles he describes. Who cares? He's full of himself.
