Belief
The paradox in this book is that the kenotic weakening that Gianni Vattimo speaks so highly about is only coherent within the context of divine revelation & the historicity of the Crucifixion-Event. Yet, secularization (even if it supposedly is "issued" from this event) is predicated on the denial of such an event. The minute the "weakness of God" becomes merely a "metaphor" for secularization, it undermines itself.
