Una de las obras que considero indispensable para cualquier peruano, pues reúne siglos de historia ancestral, virreinal y republicana.
Palma, para mà el mejor representante romántico en el Perú relata con maestrÃa estas Tradiciones que constituyen una obra enorme y monumental de la identidad peruana.
Es increÃble la cantidad de tradiciones y sobre todo el empeño y la acuciosidad que le puso a cada historia, rivalizando creo todas entre ellas por ser cada una mejor y siendo imposible elegir sólo una favorita.
Las tradiciones peruanas están escritas con cierta veracidad histórica pero con algunas tergiversaciones y sentido pÃcaro que las hace no sólo entretenidas sino muchas veces muy jocosas.
Si queremos conocer las historias a lo largo de cientos de años y los episodios pintorescos del Perú no hay mejor obra para consultar, siendo su lectura muy fácil y ligera.
