Organizations in America: Analysing Their Structures and Human Resource Practices
Definitely a book to pick up only if it's required reading, but overall it's informative. I was assigned it for class, and it was the book the class was structured around. I appreciated it for its overviews and summaries, although the case studies didn't make much sense (so thankfully we didn't use them in class).
