The state seal of Georgia was adopted in 1798. It is circular, and in the center is an arch labeled 'Constitution, ' supported by three columns labeled 'Wisdom, ' 'Justice, ' and 'Moderation.' In between the justice and moderation columns stands a man holding a drawn sword, representing the aid of the military in defending the constitution. There is no official state seal of Tennessee; the legislature has never adopted one. It is circular, and on it are a plow, a sheaf of wheat, and a cotton plant (to symbolize agriculture), and a river boat (to symbolize commerce).
Discusses the geographical, historical, and cultural aspects of Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia.
