Minnie and Moo Go to the Moon (Minnie and Moo) by Denys Cazet is one of a very funny series of beginning readers. Moo decides she and her friend Minnie should drive the tractor. Hijinks definitely ensue, things are not fun for many of their fellow farm residents. Minnie is decidely the brains of the outfit, yet loyally follows her friend into trouble.
There is a fair amount of repetition, good size type & lots of humor to make this a fun selection for beginning/transitional readers. Cazet's illustrations are imaginative & include both droll & slapstick humor. For ages 5 to 7, beginning readers, cows, farms, & friendship themes, and those who enjoy Denys Cazet books.
