This is the second time I've read this book and am so glad I did. I enjoy the writings by this author and loved this book all over again. It was difficult times after the Civil War and this story depicts the hardships in Galveston, Texas, when the Yankees came to "make peace" in the city which had many Confederate citizens. Drew Hawk was now back in Galveston suffered from old war wounds; his caregiver was the beautiful Tricia who became his "angel".. The entire series is interesting and I recommend it to those that love Historical Western Romance books.
