Lighthouses of America Book

This book covers 170 of some 700 or more lighthouse still standing in the US. I'm not sure what criteria the author used for which lighthouses they included, but I think they chose the ones for which they had photos. As a result, what is or isn't in this book is very erratic and the entire state of Louisiana is left out! The information on each lighthouse is spotty, but that could be tolerable in a fluff piece except the photos offered are pretty spotty too. Most lighthouses get only a single photo and not always a historic or current one. For example, this book was published in 2010 but uses a photo of the Jupiter Lighthouse that is probably 20 years old. There are better books available whether you want photos or information.
