Good Government? Good Citizens?: Courts, Politics, and Markets in a Changing Canada Book

Disturbed by a book showing how people in the US were increasingly turning to courts as a reaction to the decline of popular politics, Bogart (law, U. of Windsor) began to investigate whether the same problem was affecting Canada, remembering that a decade previously he himself had warned against over-reliance on litigation in tackling the hard questions faced by Canadian society. Focusing on what constitutes a good citizen, he argues that the founding words of Canadian society regarding peace, order, and good government are goals that are still critical in the life of the good citizen of the country.
