Vicious, Delicious, and Ambitious Ladies: 20th Century Women Artists Book

Here are the artists that I liked in the book:
Niagara writes down phrases she hears during the day and puts them in some of her paintings--they remind me of Lichtenstein.
Some of Sharon Leong's paintings were interesting. The ones with the stenciled lettering and interesting angles were fun.
Isabel Samaras tickles my brain. She uses pop culture icons but sets them from classic paintings. She made Jeannie (from I Dream of Jeannie) into Ingre's 'Odalisque'!
I liked Nicole Steen's paintings, especially the album covers. Her Yma Sumac one is good, love the eyelashes. 'Nina Hagen' is excellent. It has a good visual flow to it.
Emi Donvito can create some magic with airbrush. Very supple and mesmerizing. The lips on some of her ladies look like you could just kiss them.
Isis Rodriguez's LMAs (Little Miss Attitude) remind me so much of Felix the Cat and something else that I can't put my finger on. I like them the best out of her work.
The mixed-media sideshow sculptures that Liz McGrath makes inspires me to do similar stuff but with vintage Halloween. They have a lot of tiny detail to them that makes it fun to inspect. I'd like to see them in person.
Last but not least is Stacy Lande. She paints on cupboard doors. The images are bottom lit. Immediately I was like "That's totally 'Saturn Devouring his Son'". Of course, I couldn't remember that it was by Goya, but I did remember someone had added a Snickers tagline to that painting and made it pretty amusing.
