What's In Your Food? Book

Drew was able to get me an editor's copy of this book before it was even fully published and out on the market. This was right around when I was really starting to learn more about wine. It was great! Leslie takes wine varietals and compares them to something most women know a lot about: Fashion. I believe she calls Chardonnay the "little black dress" of the wine world versus Sauvignon Blanc, which is the "crisp white shirt." Each chapter focuses on a different variety of wine, and covers what Leslie calls the big three -- how to buy, pair, and share wine.

I passed the book along to my then mother-in-law, Nancy, Drew's mom and she actually love the book so much she went and bought a copy when the book was released and then looked up Leslie Sbrocco's address and the next time she was in Sonoma she and Drew went and had her copy signed by Leslie...Leslie didn't think this was weird at all--a stranger showing up at her house and telling her how great her newly released book was. She was just so flattered to have someone love her book so much, she invited Drew and Nancy in for conversation and wine!

Leslie offers wonderful and easy recipes for yummy dishes/hors d'oeuvres to pair with wines and really drives home the message that wine is to be enjoyed not feared!
