Author Biography: Ronald R. Gauch is Associate Professor of Public Administration at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York.
Presents statistical principles in a simple fashion, and develops an awareness of the abuses and misuses of statistics, combining coverage of research and statistical practices. Early chapters centered on statistics are aimed at establishing a foundation for later chapters which explore inferential statistical procedures. Later chapters deal with non-parametric, regression, and qualitative methods as well as research design and ethical issues. Emphasis is on interpretation rather than on equations.
