Land of the Bible: Places and Stories from the Old and New Testament Book

The events described in the Old and New Testaments took place in a geographical region much bigger then the Holy Land, extending along frontiers of faith that link Armenia to the Valley of the Nile. The region includes countries with ancient and often conflicting traditions whose people still jealously guard their sacred sites and religious traditions.

This volume narrates the great Biblical story through the traditional text, other written sources, and the most recent archeological investigations. Above all, it brings the Bible stories to life through comparison of works of art and photographic reportage.
