Education of Madeline
This book was a very average read to me, nothing really stood out. The plot was very flimsy and not fleshed out well. The bad guys were very cardboard one-dimensional characters and the whole scheme against Madeline didn't make a lot of sense and wasn't very plausible. The main characters weren't bad but they could have been fleshed out a lot more. We still never learned why Madeline stayed in this town where they were mean to her for two years after her father died, I don't understand why she didn't take her money and light out of there to see the world. I also didn't buy the fact that she had never traveled anywhere in her life outside of the town. The hero seemed a bit of a loser, he didn't have a whole lot of ambition. The heroine was over-bearing sometimes, I didn't like how she ordered people around even the hero. The love scenes were okay, they weren't nearly as hot as I thought they would be. So overall, an okay read as long as you don't expect too much from the story or characters.
