Gia Stokes is psyched for the start of her junior year at Longfellow High. It Is What It Is
Now that her mother is marrying Elder LeRon Ferguson, Gia, while excited for her mother, realizes she's inheriting an evil step-sister, Candy. Everything that can go wrong does. Not only do they have to share a bedroom, but they are to be involved in the same activities and same curfew. While this elevates Candy's status as a freshman, it does nothing for Gia's.
While Gia is trying to adjust to Ricky, her bff, being the object of Valerie, co-captain of Hi-Steppers and Hope, her cousins, affections, she's bombarded with her own emotions about Ricky.
Rolling with the punches, Gia is just trying to maintain. While she's been able to add some new twists to her wardrobe she can't help but notice that Candy's clothes are seriously fly. That is until Gia discovers Candy's shopping expenditures are more than costly. Can Gia keep quiet about all that's going on?
