Wanton
I read this book to soothe my curiosity over Luikin - he was my favorite character from book one.
I have the same basic complaints about book two as I do book one. Not a lot of shifting, although maybe there was a bit more.
But the relationship development was lacking. Sex does not a romance make, even if it comprises the whole first chapter. If you skipped the first chapter, it wouldn't make a difference to the rest of the story, it really didn't have anything to do with the rest of the story. But that's the longest the two main characters spend together the entire book. She makes reference to them running into each other, or talking, or even of a quick tryst, but none of those scenes are shared with the viewer other than a quick memory from one character or another.
Now I know what's up with Luikin, I don't really feel the need to read the next book.
Still a descent story if you're not expecting to watch a romance unfold, that's why I gave it two stars instead of one.
