History, Classes, and Nation-States: Selected Writings of V.G. Kiernan Book

One of my tasks in my new non-profit leadership role is to develop a communications plan. Never having drafted a formalized plan before, I have been doing some research. This book caught my eye because of its focus on non-profits and I was pleasantly surprised to find it very accessible. The book is a bit dated at this point, lacking exploration of online strategies and no mention of social media at all, but there was a lot of solid foundational information here. I am not planning to build my plan per the model suggested here, but there were a number of great takeaways that I'll definitely be using to inform my approach. Especially helpful for me were the discussions regarding mission/goals as well as evaluation of communication strategies.
