This is an important series and the Framingham volume is a particularly good example...because it has an actual plot. In this case, a tragic plot. The story of an American community so confident in its own progress that it gleefully pursues an almost unthinkable destruction of the natural environment. The history of a town that really did pave paradise and put up a parking lot.
