Where Have All the Good Men Gone?
Interesting book, but it actually reveals a lot more about our status as a Christian culture than it does the reasons Christian singles are not dating -- in the survey results, everyone blames the opposite sex for their own problems. Some of it may be true but some of it is downright hypocritical (not on the part of the author, but those surveyed). Men are not spiritually maturing? Yeah, and we have 40 year old women obsessed with "Twilight"! Pot, meet kettle.
The plain truth is, this is an extraordinary situation within the Church, and this book takes a long, hard and often brutal look at the cause. It's worth reading, so long as you remember by the end that really, this problem is all about personal responsibility and reluctance on both sides to make more of an effort. Men do need to step up. And women need to be worthy.
