This author is not writing what I consider to be a series. What it has been so far are stand alone novels with the same main (mostly police) characters. As a fan of real series, I find it unfortunate that there is no development of these characters and the details of their personal lives are repeated almost verbatim in each book. This book does have a fairly good plot, however.
