Initiation Rites Book

The Standing Conference on Inter-Faith Dialogue in Education was formed in 1973 to convene, or encourage the convening of national and regional inter-faith conferences concerned with education in school and community, including religious education, and to circulate or publish reports of the proceedings of findings of those conferences. The conference includes representatives of the Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Humanist, Jewish, Muslim and Sikh faiths as well as representatives of organizations concerned with inter-faith and race relations. Initiation Rites is one of the first publication to embrace this new tendency and put under one cover the actual words of the essential core of the initiation rites of the main world religions.
