Fundamentals of Social Statistics Book

This text is addressed to a wide readership, from students at technical schools and universities to professionals who need to conduct small investigations related to social issues. Very little mathematical knowledge is required, so that anyone with a normal secondary education should experience little difficulty in following the mathematical reasoning and computations. The book was designed to suit the needs of readers at different educational levels and with different interests. A distinction is made between basic knowledge of social statistics and more complex and advanced topics. The examples presented cover a variety of social issues and are influenced by a Third World - and, more particularly, an African - perspective.
