Balthasar: A Guide for the Perplexed Book

A very, very good book giving one an entre into Balthasar's opus. I really learned much from Howsare's great little book. Dr. Howsare is good teacher and his book helps to situate Balthasar's thought in the larger context of contemporary and historical theology. Furthermore, he also does a very job of giving an overview, in broad strokes, of Balthasar's project. I am glad that I read this and believe it will help me as I read more of Balthasar's great body of work.

My only criticism -- and it is minor -- is that there were a number of typos and misprints in the book. "Angleo Scola" instead of "Angelo Scola" at one point; The use of "principal" instead of "principle." An endnote in the final chapter that read, "See the collection of philosophical essays in post-secular philosophy . . ." I am surprised that these and other errors weren't caught before the book made it to print.
