Hubie's anxiety is on full throttle, as he hears of the new kid in school, whose name is Butch Pounder, and he's labeled as a terrible bully. Rumor has it, he is as big as Coach Kong, and has his own desk in the principal's office. Hubie decides to practice running, so he'll become so fast that Butch won't be able to catch him. In his haste, he runs around the corner, and bumps right into and right off of Butch, who in turn picks him up with one hand. Butch introduces himself, and tells Hubie, that he's new to the school, and can't find Mrs. Green's class. Hubie shows him the way, and a friendship is started.
