1945, WWII Homefront. What 9 year old Molly wanted for a birthday present was a bicycle. What she got was a goat named Stanley. Just like her little brother Stanley just can't stay out of trouble, but when her little brother is missing, Stanley saves the day.
Good story for animal lovers. A few brief mentions about her dad being away fighting and a victory garden. The story is mostly about the goat.
