Hard Men Humble: Vietnam Veterans Who Wouldn't Come Home by Jonathan Stevenson (Free Press 2002)(959.7043). This is an interesting and reflective take on the Vietnam conflict. It contains interviews with former American soldiers who served in Vietnam who for whatever reason chose to remain in Southeast Asia after the war. The interesting part is the "for whatever reason" part, for every one of these soldiers chose to stay behind for different reasons; that is what is explored in this book. My rating: 6.5/10, finished 2010.
