Not sure who this book is aimed at, or what I expected, but it was a lot less satisfying than I guess I hoped. It was much too shallow for me - more or less a short dictionary of words of interest, with some attempt at being funny that made me wonder how much of the definitions were actually true. Kind of interested how dated it was; not sure if that underlines or undermines the whole idea about language change - many of these words and phrases that seems like they were added to the lexicon in 2008 have more or less disappeared. Not too bad for extremely light reading, a very very gentle introduction to the concept of linguistics, or maybe some insight for ESL learners.
