Applied Nonlinear Optics
This book assumed that you already knew a lot about optics before you started reading it. Unfortunately, I was just trying to learn optics and this really wasn't the book to help me do it. I could see it being useful if you already have a working knowledge and are trying to apply it in very specific situations that are referenced in the table of contents, but otherwise I would have to say that this book was not really so useful.
