Frank E. Schoonover (1877-1972) studied under Howard Pyle and was the original illustrator of Jack London's White Fang. He made several extended visits to Northern Canada in the early twentieth century, a 1,200 mile winter expedition by snowshoe and dogsled in 1903-1904, and a summer expedition in 1911, when he travelled by canoe and portage. This is a collection of his day book records, stories, paintings and photographs from that time.
