SO much better than Red Fire, which is the first book in the series.
I adored River and even though I was surprised by the ending, I was quite pleased with how things turned out.
I must say I'm not a fan of cliffhangers, though I suppose it's forgivable when you consider that the sequel is already being written.
I'm also dying to know what the real deal is between Nikos and River, and was not thrilled with the fact she decided to leave that part out.
As with the first book in the series, there were a couple continuity errors, but not nearly as bad as in Red Fire..
The heat and chemistry between these two were much more intense than that of Shay and Ajax, and I'm desperately hoping that Leo and Daphne get their own story.
4 1/2 Stars.
