Ten modern Scottish stories Book

The purpose of this volume is to show something of the scope and range of the Scottish short story of the past three or four decades - the mid twentieth century. In the nineteenth century and early twentieth Scottish story-writing was developed by writers like Scott, Galt, Hogg, Stevenson, MacDonald, Cunninghame Graham, Crockett, Barrie, Neil Munro and John Buchan. We hope that this present collection will go some way towards demonstrating that the Scottish writer has continued to practice, develop, and experiment with the craft of the short story.
